To be successful in any meaningful endeavor it is very important to have a good action plan. At what ever point you choose to start your adventure in Igbo Language studies here at Igbo911, we recommend you start by setting a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Sensitive) goals.

  • Specific: This could mean being able to count from one to ten in Igbo or being able to recite one Igbo proverb.

  • Measurable: You need to set a specific time by which your goal should have been achieved. Using our interactive quizzes or practicing with Igbo speakers will help you evaluate your progress.

  • Achievable: Your goal should be achievable in the light of your circumstances.

  • Realistic: You goal should take into account your circumstances and may prompt you to consider the sacrifice you need to make along the way.

  • Time sensitive: There has to be a predetermined time frame after which you should be able to review your performance.

  • At the end of each goal period you are encouraged to either review your strategy or advance to a new segment with new goals. We would also be glad to have your feed back as to how we can make our resource more functional and effective for you.
